The longtime Yukon REALTOR® continues a community tradition that brings neighbours together while supporting local charitable organizations.

Terence Tait, owner of Yukon’s Real Estate Advisers, has once again hosted the annual Riverdale Community Garage Sale, bringing together residents from across one of Whitehorse’s largest neighbourhoods for a day of community engagement while raising funds for the Whitehorse Firefighter Charitable Foundation.
Now an annual tradition, the Riverdale Garage Sale encourages residents to participate in a neighbourhood-wide event that helps families buy and sell gently used items while creating an opportunity to give back. Each year, Tait partners with a local charitable organization, inviting shoppers and participants to make voluntary donations throughout the event.
This year’s fundraiser generated more than $200 for the Whitehorse Firefighter Charitable Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting community initiatives and helping local residents through charitable programs and emergency assistance.
For Tait, the event reflects his belief that real estate professionals should play an active role in strengthening the communities they serve.
“Real estate is ultimately about people and the neighbourhoods they call home,” said Tait. “The Riverdale Garage Sale is one of my favourite events each year because it gives neighbours a chance to connect while supporting organizations that make a real difference in Whitehorse. Even small contributions add up when a community comes together.”
