Cambria Investment Management today marked the 10-year anniversary of the Cambria Emerging Shareholder Yield ETF (EYLD). With EYLD reaching a decade, all three of Cambria’s regional shareholder yield equity ETFs now hold live track records of 10 years or more. Each of the three now ranks in the top decile of its Morningstar category for 10-year total return as of July 31, 2026. The lineup began in 2013 with the Cambria Shareholder Yield ETF (SYLD), the first shareholder yield ETF.
- SYLD, Cambria Shareholder Yield ETF: Invests in US equities. Launched May 2013 and ranked in the 5th percentile of the Morningstar Mid-Cap Value category for 10-year total return.
- FYLD, Cambria Foreign Shareholder Yield ETF: Invests in developed international equities. Launched December 2013 and ranked in the 9th percentile of the Morningstar Foreign Small/Mid Value category for 10-year total return.
- EYLD, Cambria Emerging Shareholder Yield ETF: Invests in emerging market equities. Launched July 2016 and ranked in the 5th percentile of the Morningstar Diversified Emerging Markets category for 10-year total return.
“Shareholder yield was never meant to be a single product. It is a way of thinking about how companies return cash to their owners, and it travels,” said Meb Faber, Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Cambria. “We now have five shareholder yield equity funds, and three with at least a decade of live performance across three very different markets. That is a real body of evidence, not a back-test.”
Cambria pioneered the shareholder yield ETF with SYLD, one of the first ETFs built on the three-factor concept. It applied the same discipline to developed international markets with FYLD later that year and to emerging markets with EYLD in 2016. Two newer funds, the Cambria Micro and SmallCap Shareholder Yield ETF (MYLD) and the Cambria Large Cap Shareholder Yield ETF (LYLD), extend the approach across the size spectrum.
Cambria defines shareholder yield as the total cash a company returns to owners through three levers: dividends, net share buybacks, and debt paydown. Cambria’s view is that any single signal is incomplete, but screened together the three tend to surface higher-quality, better-priced companies than a dividend screen alone.
SYLD is Cambria’s largest fund at roughly $1 billion, EYLD has grown to approximately $880 million, and FYLD, MYLD and LYLD together add more than $779 million. Cambria managed more than $4.8 billion across its ETF lineup as of August 7, 2026.
