LUCKNOW, UTTAR PRADESH, INDIA, September 9, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Marking a monumental milestone in the history of Indian media, Lucknow University, in collaboration with the literary quarterly magazine Adhan, will host an International Seminar titled “200 Years of Hindi Journalism” (हिंदी पत्रकारिता के दो सौ साल) on September 15, 2026.
The landmark event aims to honor the legacy of Hindi journalism since its origin in 1826 with Udant Martand and to examine its evolving role in strengthening democracy, safeguarding constitutional rights, and connecting the 35-million-strong global Indian diaspora—over half of whom are Hindi speakers.
