The same great recipes fans know and love are returning to Gulfport under local franchisee and military veteran Robert E DuBose, Jr., who was first introduced to the brand as a loyal guest in Texas. Under his leadership, the restaurant aims to reestablish itself as a go-to destination for barbecue lovers across Harrison County by delivering consistent quality, authentic flavors and warm hospitality with every order.
“I was a big fan of Dickey’s long before becoming an owner and I’m excited to bring my passion for barbecue to my beloved community here in Gulfport,” said DuBose. “We’re proud to serve the Mississippi and Louisiana Gulf Coast as barbecue specialists and look forward to welcoming back longtime fans and creating memories with new guests who have yet to experience the Dickey’s difference.”
Dickey’s first landed onto Gulfport’s dining scene in 2014, and since then has been introducing the area to the deliciousness of authentic, slow-smoked Texas-style barbecue. The Dickey’s difference starts with its approach to smoking premium cuts of brisket, pork, chicken, and kielbasa sausage low and slow for hours over hickory wood. The barbecue brand, which has been serving smoked favorites since opening its first location in Texas in 1941, features classic American barbecue staples such as pulled pork, brisket, mac & cheese, coleslaw, barbecue beans, and potato salad. In addition, longtime barbecue fans and newcomers alike can indulge their taste buds at the Gulfport location, which also serves chicken wings, fall-off-the-bone ribs, giant loaded baked potatoes, smoked ham & cheddar sandwiches, and other rotating menu items.
Dickey’s in Gulfport is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
